Intelligent Design and You

Well, besides Bobby Jindal making it acceptable to teach ID in Louisiana, now we hear that one county in Pa has tried to put it on the curriculum and was slapped down for it.

Good for the court. Creationism under any name is a silly thing to teach in a public school. IMO, whether you believe in it or not.

ID, to me, seems to say that evolution is valid and God created it, except He made Man. As a believer in a ‘higher, divine power, I agree.. depending on what is the meaning of ‘Making Man’. But ID still claims to put biblical references into the context of science, which can’t be done. It’s been pointed out time and again that science can be used to verify certain incidents and happenings as written in the bible but can also be used to dispute the claims made regarding those incidents.

The great flood and Noah’s Ark being a prime example: The great flood could not have covered the whole earth, and Noah could not have found and captured and transported two of every living land animal in that ark. Yet science can prove the general story.

That the exact event as described didnt happen doesnt mean there was NOT some divine guidance, though.

And that even applies to ‘The Creation’. Let’s say the Big Bang is the beginning of our Universe; one favorite response to the ‘only science’ crowd is: “Well, who or what caused the Big Bang?”

And before the sceptic replies, he should consider current theory put forward by some considered expert in the field, that being: The entire universe, as we know it, once occupied a space that would easily fit in the palm of our hand.

Now, even considering that any atom is a vast empty space, which idea stretches credulity more?
